El tratamiento con anticoagulantes reduce el riesgo en aproximadamente dos tercios.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/iguala3.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Fibrilacion.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1038\" src=\"http:\/\/iguala3.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Fibrilacion-300x121.jpg\" alt=\"Electrocardiograma\" width=\"300\" height=\"121\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iguala3.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Fibrilacion-300x121.jpg 300w, https:\/\/iguala3.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Fibrilacion.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>La fibrilaci\u00f3n auricular no valvular se clasifica en tres subtipos: parox\u00edstica si el ritmo normal se restablece espont\u00e1neamente; persistente si el episodio dura m\u00e1s de siete d\u00edas o se finaliza antes con un f\u00e1rmaco o cardioversi\u00f3n de corriente directa; y permanente si la cardioversi\u00f3n no restablece el ritmo cardiaco normal. Se puede usar cat\u00e9ter o ablaci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica cuando la cardioversi\u00f3n falla o hay evidencia de un trastorno electrofisiol\u00f3gico subyacente.<\/p>\n<p>La fibrilaci\u00f3n auricular se puede caracterizar como resuelta una vez que se restablece el ritmo normal, pero es posible la recurrencia posterior despu\u00e9s de la resoluci\u00f3n espont\u00e1nea o la cardioversi\u00f3n. De forma similar, las tasas de \u00e9xito a largo plazo de la ablaci\u00f3n pueden ser tan bajas como del 20% .<\/p>\n<p>Los pacientes en los que la fibrilaci\u00f3n auricular se considera\u00a0<em><strong>resuelta<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0pueden tener de hecho subtipos parox\u00edsticos o persistentes, o fibrilaci\u00f3n auricular que pueden recurrir. Dichos pacientes pueden seguir teniendo un mayor riesgo de accidente cerebrovascular y continuar benefici\u00e1ndose de la\u00a0<strong>profilaxis anticoagulante<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Los pacientes con \u00abfibrilaci\u00f3n atrial resuelta\u00bb a\u00fan tienen un riesgo elevado de accidente cerebrovascular<\/p>\n<p>Los pacientes con \u00abfibrilaci\u00f3n auricular (AF) resuelta\u00bb todav\u00eda tienen riesgo de accidente cerebrovascular o ataque isqu\u00e9mico transitorio (AIT), seg\u00fan un estudio retrospectivo en The BMJ.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores de los EE. UU. compararon a 11,000 pacientes cuya FA se consider\u00f3 resuelta con 15,000 pacientes con FA no resuelta y 22,000 sin historia de FA.<\/p>\n<p>Durante una mediana de seguimiento de aproximadamente 3 a\u00f1os, la tasa de accidente cerebrovascular o AIT entre aquellos con AF resuelta fue 59% m\u00e1s alta que entre aquellos sin FA (12.1 vs. 7.4 por 1000 a\u00f1os-persona), pero a\u00fan no fue tan alto como aquellos con AF actual (16.7 por 1000 persona-a\u00f1os). Las tasas de mortalidad siguieron un patr\u00f3n similar.<\/p>\n<p>Solo el 17% de los pacientes ten\u00eda una receta anticoagulante actual cuando se les diagnostic\u00f3 una FA resuelta.<\/p>\n<p>Los autores concluyen: \u00abEstos pacientes se beneficiar\u00edan con la profilaxis anticoagulante continuada, pero las tasas de tratamiento en este grupo son extremadamente bajas.
