pr\u00e1ctica de ejercicio f\u00edsico,\u00a0<strong>podr\u00eda prevenir la p\u00e9rdida de memoria relacionada con el alzheimer<\/strong>, seg\u00fan una investigaci\u00f3n publicada hoy en la revista \u00abNature Medicine\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando el cuerpo se ejercita, el tejido muscular libera la hormona irisina, que entra en circulaci\u00f3n en el organismo y es capaz de mejorar la capacidad cognitiva, seg\u00fan comprobaron expertos de la\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ufrj.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universidad Federal de R\u00edo de Janeiro\u00a0<\/a>(Brasil) y la\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.columbia.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universidad de Columbia<\/a>(Estados Unidos) en estudios con ratones con esa dolencia.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1196 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/iguala3.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/cerebro-ejercicio-300x218.png\" alt=\"Cerebro haciendo https:\/\/iguala3.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/cerebro-ejercicio.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos responsables del estudio, Ottavio Arancio, Sergio Ferreira y Fernanda de Felice, demostraron que el aumento de la irisina, as\u00ed como de su prote\u00edna precursora FNDC5, reduc\u00eda el d\u00e9ficit de memoria y aprendizaje en roedores con alzheimer.<\/p>\n<p>Observaron tambi\u00e9n que cuando se bloqueaba la aparici\u00f3n de esta sustancia en el cerebro de los ratones enfermos, se perd\u00edan los efectos cognitivos beneficiosos que aporta el ejercicio f\u00edsico.<\/p>\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos se\u00f1alaron que si bien se sabe que el ejercicio mejora las capacidades cognitivas y retrasa la progresi\u00f3n de los trastornos neurodegenerativos, se\u00a0<strong>requieren estudios adicionales<\/strong>\u00a0para comprender mejor c\u00f3mo la irisina entra en acci\u00f3n e interact\u00faa con el cerebro.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, indicaron que se requiere un mayor conocimiento para evaluar si la prote\u00edna tiene un efecto cognitivo beneficioso similar en los humanos.<\/p>\n<p>No obstante, destacaron que el reciente hallazgo puede allanar el camino hacia nuevas estrategias terap\u00e9uticas que sirvan para mitigar el deterioro cognitivo en pacientes con alzheimer, una enfermedad para la
