En concreto, seg\u00fan los resultados de un estudio publicado en \u2018Scientific Reports\u2019, han visto que en el 26 por ciento de los pacientes que ingresaron en el hospital con una hemorragia intracerebral se identific\u00f3 en la saliva la presencia de la bacteria \u2018S. mutans CNM-positivo\u2019. Entre los pacientes con otros tipos de accidente cerebrovascular, s\u00f3lo el 6 por ciento dio positivo a esta bacteria.<\/p>\n<p>Dentro de los accidentes cerebrovasculares est\u00e1n los isqu\u00e9micos, que implican un bloqueo de uno o m\u00e1s vasos sangu\u00edneos que irrigan el cerebro, o los hemorr\u00e1gicos, en la que se rompen los vasos sangu\u00edneos del cerebro causando un sangrado. Los investigadores evaluaron las resonancias magn\u00e9ticas de los participantes en el estudio para detectar la presencia de microhemorrgias cerebrales que pueden causar demencia y tambi\u00e9n suelen ser la base de estos eventos.
